Scale
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 2 tablespoons blueberry powder
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch or arrowroot powder (optional, for thickening)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, blueberry powder, maple syrup, lemon juice, water, and a pinch of salt.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Allow the sauce to simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the blueberries have softened and released their juices.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can mix the cornstarch or arrowroot powder with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry. Stir the slurry into the sauce and continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your liking.
- Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Serve the Blueberry Bliss Sauce warm or chilled over pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, ice cream, or any other dish of your choice.
- Enjoy the burst of blueberry flavor in every spoonful!
Notes
- Use ripe, juicy blueberries for the best flavor and sweetness.
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup according to your taste preferences. You can also substitute honey or agave syrup for a different flavor profile.
- For a smoother sauce, you can strain the cooked blueberry mixture through a fine mesh sieve before serving.
- Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Reheat gently before serving.
